Where superscript works (and its one limit)

  • Works everywhere text does: ✅ these are real Unicode characters, so they paste into Instagram, TikTok, Discord, docs and messages — even places with no superscript button.
  • Coverage is not 100%: ⚠️ Unicode has a superscript form for every digit and most letters, but a few letters (like a true small “q”) are missing and pass through normal. That’s a Unicode limit, not a bug.
  • Numbers (⁰¹²³⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹) are complete, so exponents and footnote markers always work.

How do I make superscript text?

Type your text or number above and copy the raised version. It works without any superscript button because the characters themselves are small and raised.

Why did one letter not shrink?

A handful of letters have no superscript form in Unicode (for example a small capital-style “q”), so they’re left normal. Every digit does have one, so exponents always work.

Can I use superscript on Instagram or Discord?

Yes — it’s plain Unicode, so it pastes into bios, captions, usernames and messages that accept text.
