How this strikethrough works

  • It adds a combining line to each character, so the crossed-out effect travels with the text when you paste it — no app or button needed.
  • Great for places with no formatting option (Instagram, X, many bios). Note some apps (WhatsApp, Discord) already have their own strikethrough with ~text~.
  • The line is part of the characters, so on a rare old device it may sit slightly off — the letters still read fine.
