Using your MOTD

  • Copy the whole motd= line into server.properties and restart the server.
  • Switch the Code output to \u00A7 if your file won’t accept the § symbol directly.
  • Hex colors don’t work in a vanilla MOTD — stick to the 16 named colors unless you run a proxy like BungeeCord that sends them.
